I think Larry (Cleveland) tried rubber sheets once.

I bought some rubber sheets, approx 1ft by 6 inch and approx 1/4 or 3/8
thick, at the hardware store that were intended as a self-adhesive traction
pads for industrial step use. They had a raised tread pattern in them. I
cut them to size for this use. The tread pattern allows water to
drain/evaporate from the contact area.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Rubber for Pantera gas tank cushion/insulation
Does anyone know of a source for the rubber strips that insulate the gas
tank
against metal to metal contact when in the car?
Mine were all dried and rotted out and I need new rubber now that I've
restored
my tank.
Thanks!
Garth
