[DeTomaso] Overheating Issue

I think the proper way is to remove the head and use a magnaflux
method.  Look for cracks around the valve seats, but there may be
others.  If it's internal to a passage, it's hard to see, but they are
usually in visible places.

I check for head gaskets using the old condom method (with a new
condom, of course).  Pinch off the overflow tube and put a condom
around where the radiator cap was.  Start the car; if the condom
inflates, you have a bad gasket or cracked head.  It's better to use a
radiator pressure test and leakdown check, but condoms are cheaper and
have that extra "ewwww!) factor.
