[DeTomaso] Exhaust coating questions?

Sounds like a perfect situation for an experiment--  if it damages the paint it won't matter since the paint has to be redone anyway.  Then you'll have your answer.

Assuming that the new paint behaves the same as the old when exposed to heat.  :-(

Yeah, but you haven't seen my paint.
It needed replacement in 1995 when I bought the car.
I decided to get all the mechanicals worked out first.still there.now some
f my new mechanicals are 15 years old and the cycle may continue for ever.

Maybe, but I certainly wouldn't want to gamble and risk damaging the
