FWIW, I had my headers coated by Jet Hot.   They were new at the time, but 
I've also had a motorcycle exhaust done by them.   They blast them, then DIP 
them so they are coated inside and out.

You can send them some ratty headers and they will come back looking pretty 
darn good.   Don't bother sending them headers that are cracked or have 
holes in them of course--that's beyond their purview.   But in your case I'd 
feel very confident sending them off.

There may be local options available that are less expensive--but they 
would also be a crapshoot.   Jet Hot is expensive and a known quantity with a 
lifetime guarantee.
