[DeTomaso] Entertaining TV on Sat (no DeTomaso0

I was hoping you would ask...not really. The contact was about as remote as you can get. I've been active in the local Mustang club since 1981 and have had a bunch of early Mustangs. One of the little old ladies in the neighborhood once told me

she had a chance to buy a Mustang when she worked at Warner Bros in accounting during the late 60's. She said they had just been released after being used in some detective movie. She liked the "pretty dark green" but didn't realize they were in such bad condition before she went to see them. She obvioulsly passed on the offer. I don't think she had any idea about their significance. I told you it was remote...but still kinda cool. There's a perfect clone sitting at my friends shop right now. All the way down to the plates. :)

I read these some time back. As usual, there is some conflicting information when different people all claim 'they were there'.
:-)

So... Mr. Frazier... what was this 'very remote contact with those Mustangs' that you are enticing us with?

To me the comment sounds like a bunch of bull from someone who wasn't there. It just makes an interesting blurb for the show. That chase scene has been documented before. There were 2 Mustangs, one small block one big block. They were alternately used for jumping, smoking tires, camera platforms, still shots etc. McQueen did NOT do all the driving. Finally, if one car is faster than another, just back off a bit.

Michael Frazier....who had a very remote contact with those Mustangs.
