If your shipper is near Seattle, you can look it up and see if Forward Air (forwardair.com)  has a hub there (can't imagine that they don't!)....and where your closest major airport hub is to you.....

These guys saved me a TON of money when I was shipping heavy bits around....

Guy just needs to put it on a "crate of sorts" that can be lifted by a forklift.....off of his truck, and onto yours when you go to pick it up!

Could make the difference between a PITA deal, and a great deal!

If the guy has any feedback on ebay, that is some sort of assurance, but in this case, perhaps some "eyes on" would be a good bet if there is someone in the area that can check it out for ya!!!!
