Bill,
Sorry, I didn't make my self clear here. I'm talking about the suspension portion of the upright where it pivots on a mounting shaft ( 5A844 ) and spacer ( 5A843 ). Not the spacer on the axle between the bearings.

Bud,

I'm not sure I know what you mean about drilling the upright housing and the spacer. The spacer between the bearings rotates with the axle and the inner race of each bearing. Other than a light coating of rust prevention grease during assembly, no lubrication inside the upright housing is needed.

Are referring to grease fittings for the lower pivot shaft of the upright?

Have fun,

Bill,
I ordered  6308-2RS1/C3    SKF    at  32.50  each.
And         5208-2RSC3       MRC   at  48..20  each.

Plan to order Wilkinson axles        at  225.01 each
And cut down the spacers per your measurements.

I will add grease fitting to the upright housing and drill through the spacer so that both inside and outside of spacer gets lube.

And thanks again for your help.
