Good advice, Bill.

I might add a good hardware store will have all-thread in 8mm size.  
With this,  and a few 8mm nuts, you can make your support bolts as  
long as you want.

Another method of attack with the housing bolts that have the shear- 
off-with-torque heads is to cut a notch in them with a Dremel and a  
cut-off wheel.  A stubby flat-blade screwdriver should then get the  
bolts out, and let them be reused.
