[DeTomaso] Heater control options

All the controls are in good working shape.  My goal was to perhaps  
replace the three lever mechanism with something more modern.  There  
may not me something that easily adapts.  That's why I'm asking  
around.  Simple is key, as is expense.  Less expensive the better.

For example, I know some folks have redesigned their dash to mount a  
radio horizontal where the heater controls are.  But what did they do  
with the heater controls then?  without trying to go through thousands  
of photos in the POCA gallery, I thought I'd ask around first.
