Dave, those springs looked awfully light for heavy roller lifters. Since 
some or most of the stuff is from Comp, I'd call them for their spring 
recommendations. And be very sure to tell them the lifters are roller! Too-light 
springs will induce valve float, which can bend pushrods and valve stems. Some 
Comp lifters can be rebuilt- as long as the roller bearing axles are 
retained by a circlip. If the axle is just a peened-over rivit like the rockers, 
you have a paperweight there which may be on its way towards destroying the 
cam lobe in that cylinder. FWIW, Ford lifters are all 0.875" OD and you need 
clearance beyond that, so no- you cannot pull lifters thru the pushrod 
holes. Just pull the intake so you can see what you're doing. Good luck- J DeRyke
