[DeTomaso] Windshield removal

I have never removed a Pantera  windshield but I have removed some from
other cars. We used to take a piece of steel wire ( Like a steel guitar
string ) and push it through along one of the edges (with the trim removed)
then working with two people both wearing very heavy leather gloves or using
vise grips to hold the ends of the wire  work the wire around the perimeter
of the windshield to separate it and cut through the sealant that was used
when it was installed . It was always a bitch to do and I'm sure it will be
harder on a windshield that has not been taken out in thirty plus years
