Good advice.

On Orville's 2V heads, there are large holes to the lifter valley.  It would
be pretty easy to pull a lifter with a magnet.

On my heads, I don't remember seeing any holes large enough to pull a
lifter.

I've pulled one out before by mistake, and gotten it back in by fishing
around with the pushrod - and cussing a fair amount.

BTW, why do you want to see a lifter?  If they're getting wiped, the cam
lobe will be wiped too.  You can detect this by measuring the drop in lift.

If you're really concerned, pull the intake and take a look at all 16.

Before you start that project, make sure the pushrod hole in the head is big
enough to allow the lifter to pass through.
