No. The whole bracket assembly is only thin sheet metal and doesn't brace 
anything besides the stock fans. I removed ours 25 years ago to lay down the 
radiator and run sucker fans, and no paint cracking or other bad news from 
the nose area to date. If you keep it in a box somewhere, someday someone 
might want to restore the car to "stock" and fabricating such a thing from
