[DeTomaso] Weber manifold question

The intake might be listed at Hall, but I doubt they have any. I haven't tried, but it seems like 351C Weber intakes are very hard to obtain.

I have a Hall/Inglese Weber intake for A3 heads.

It is identical to a Hall/Inglese Weber manifold for 4V heads EXCEPT it matches A3 ports perfectly.

The A3 ports, as you know, are raised, wider and shorter than 4V ports.

It would be a lot of work to port match to C302B heads. The C302B ports are much more square.

If you tried a 302 Weber intake, you'd have to:

a) Cut it in 3 pieces and fab a valley pan (weld or use a 3-piece arrangement)
b) Port match
c) The bolt holes are different. They're close, though. W intakes have bolts that are perpendicular to the ground. The middle 4 bolts on C heads are perp., but the rest are about 30deg.
d) You'd have to do something with the water crossover in the front. Cut it off, or switch to a W style.

I don't see this happening without being a hack job. I couldn't do it. A machinist could probably do a good job.

One idea is to call Kinsler. They list a 3-piece manifold/throttle body for SB/Yates. It's probably pretty close to the C302B heads.

This manifold is currently rarer than rocking horse s*it, however Aussiespeed are supposed to be recasting it in the very near future....like February at last contact.
