Do you mean Popular Hot Rodding's Engine Masters Competition?

This year was the first time fuel injection was allowed. Most
competitors re-used engines from last year with minor revisions.
The rules favored tunnel ram and independent runners induction.
Most of these builders have experience with tunnel rams and
know what it takes to make them work. Kaase won again with an
entry based upon a 400 Ford with CHI Cleveland heads and a tunnel
ram. The SAM Cleveland also ran a 351C tunnel ram and CHI 3V
heads. From the picture, it looks like a 351 block and not a 400.
Note that 3rd place went to an early Hemi with independent runner
Webers. Lots of guys ran tunnel rams but I'm surprised no one ran
IR EFI. That may have been due to lack of competition legal intakes.

A new rule for 2010 is the winner can't re-use his engine and must
switch to a different engine so Kaase can't come back with another
Cleveland.
