FWIW, virtually all GM engines swapped into Panteras in the past- from the
dozen or so 454 Chevs MIke Cook in the '80s did, to a real ZL-1 into one
So-Cal Pantera, have almost all been re-swapped back to Ford-Clevelands, for
whatever reason. And its correct to say the GM LS-series engines are an
advance over earlier small-blocks. How you they NOT be, with all the 40-yr-old
351-C features they've copied, such as stagger-valve heads, gearotor oil pumps,
symmetrical ports in much bigger sizes, changed cam position and on and
on.... See, all you Pantera owners- bet you didn't realize how advanced the old
Cleveland was, back when you first saw your car....
FOMOCO, are you reading this? MAYBE little cammers-for-the-masses are NOT
the ideal product?
