[DeTomaso] supercharger questions

Yes on engine's lifespan directly related to its use and maintenance but would add a qualifer which is
as Bob Benson and others have said, 
"Run it hard enough and long enough and everything will blow up"

And since I know you are building or planning to build a Cleveland Stroker this year good luck with it. 
And if you use it and I know you will there is nothing quite  like adding another 100+ Hp unless it is adding another 200+ HP! ;-)

What ever gave you that idea?   An engine's lifespane is directly related 
to its use, and maintenance.   While some racy guys like to 'freshen' their 
motors every few years, a street-driven stroker should easily do 100K 
miles--just like any other pushrod Ford V8--as long as the oil is changed 
periodically, it isn't overheated, etc.
