Yes, that is highly infuriating.   The good news is, it shouldn't be 
difficult to sell your extra ticket--just stand in front of the ticket booth and 
scalp it.   Or alternately, you might be able to sell it to one of the French 
or British guys who is attending the event but not camping.

I think this may be the first year that the ACO has consented to selling 
tickets to the general public?   It strikes me as a new thing.
