This was originally a Gr3 car, and many European GTS Panteras, and Gr3 
Panteras, were equipped with two small front bumpers, and a single one-piece 
rear bumper.   There are several examples of different Gr3 cars like this in 
the De Tomaso racing book.

There is only one photo of #5855 at Le Mans in 1975, when it was still in 
Gr3 configuration, and it shows the rear of the car.   But the quality of the 
reproduction of the photo is so poor that it's impossible to make out the 
rear bumper configuration at that time.   By the time it was converted to Gr4 
specification, the bumper was removed.
