[DeTomaso] NPC: help passing emissions test

Dear Forum,

 

 

              The problem: passing the Texas state emissions test

 

              The car: 1988 BMW 535is

 

               The engine: inline six cylinder with fuel injection

 

               The exhaust:  the catalytic converter has ever so slightly
disintegrated, so it ain't there!

 

 

                The strategy:  How to adjust the timing and how to concoct a
witch's brew of fuel  in order to briefly pass the emissions test?

   

 

 

              Disclaimer: this problem is entirely theoretical and would
never be attempted in the real world.
