ABS is best because you can grind it down on the road to fit ....;-)>
but personally I can't stand the sound so I went with heavy 
rubber belt...it deflects some but no doubt better then nothing...check photos at speed on TPR web site.;-)

Bill, both Larry Stock of PPC-Reno, and Mad Dog Antenucci use side-skirts 
on their Panteras. They seem to help cornering at rather high speeds and may 
form a crude tunnel with the floor as the top. Side skirts might make front 
air dams and rear spoilers more effective. Don't know what they were 
constructed from but since they are essentially a flat 4" deep semi-flexible strip, 
there are lots of options. Because of the thick boundary layer on a 
Panteras sides, any lumps, bumps or brake ducts etc seem mostly cosmetic. FWIW- J
