[DeTomaso] Ferrari 360 maintenance costs-- NPC

I think the funny thing is that all these people can read the same thread
and interpret it differently. The post started talking about the high cost
of Ferrari maintenance and the fact that you may be able to buy one for what
seems like a bargain price and wind up with your balls handed to you on a
plate. Then Mike mentioned that BMW 8 series have become very reasonable (
some under $10k) and have a lower maintenance cost  but are still rare /
exotic cars. The other criteria for this comparison was a car to drive for
an evening out with ones wife. So I don't think the point is whether one
likes a Viper or not , it's that a Viper is not cheap to buy or own, some
have no roof or side windows (not very practical for the purposes listed)
and the really funny part is having an opinion about a car being "Fantastic"
that one has never owned or even driven. Vipers are fast and draw a crowd
but a car without a roof or roll up windows is about as impractical as you
can get and doesn't have anything to do with the gist of the post..
P.S.(They do make a hardtop  now ) They call it a Viper Coupe'.
