Denny,
Thanks!
Always cool to hear a little history behind a car.
I do remember receipts from Larson & King as well as another engine builder in southern California.
I believe it was built @ 10.5 to 1 compression and the previous owner didn't get the HP he was looking for so he had
the engine pulled and reworked to 11 to 1.
I think a lot of the costs in building the car came from the owner reworking areas that didn't come out to his likening the first time?
3168 was discussed here when the previous owner had put it on ebay in '05. It got a few harsh comments, I think mainly to do with
how it was listed and it apparently was pretty dirty, I don't know I didn't see it until it was offered for sale through West Coast Classic Cougars
in '06.
My reasons for selling are based solely on the economy, I've been out of work since May of '09 and was out of work for 12 months in '07.
I could keep the car, but it wouldn't be very comfortable to live in. lol
Hope to use the funds to become self employed so the only person to blame for being out of work is myself.
Thanks for sharing the info!
Jeff #3168
