Nah ...... too simple.
 
I recently read a really great book on decision  making.
 
The first thing to do for decision making in life is  to baseline just how 
much each hour of your time is  worth.
 
>From there on, it is really quite simple.
 
Find a tap (which takes time), buy a tap (which costs money for  which you 
traded time), tap the hole (more time), find a non-Pantera switch  (which 
takes time), buy the switch (more money), clean out the chips (you hope),  
thread in the switch (cross-threaded of course), fix the leak(s).
 
All this vs buying the correct switch (some money), unscrewing the  old one 
(3 minutes?), screwing in the new (3 minutes?).
 
You decide.
