The 'R' indicates a resistor-type plug for radio noise suppression. This 
works best when used along with resistor-type plug wires.
'C' indicates a 3/4" threaded reach, correct for Edelbrock alloy heads
'12' indicates a medium-hot plug for street driving
'Y' indicates a standard projected-nose plug; the nose runs hotter than the 
main body, to burn deposits off. 
The terminal 'C' indicates their 'copper-plus' internal design.
