When I restored my L dash over 20 years ago, I used aluminum flex tubing (like a drier vent) that I got from a hardware store. The aluminum proved sturdy enough to allow me to do some tailor bending to clear some of the switches behind the dash, particularly for the left vent to clear the hazard and wiper switches. Tom #5186
