[DeTomaso] Downgrading a Cleveland and header flanges for non-pantera

I've been racing a vintage MG for a few years now and am thinking about
prepping my Pantera to run with some of the same organizations.
However, my engine is far from legal in their eyes. Basically, it needs
to be prepared to period correct modifications at near original
displacement. I've got an Al headed 393 stroker, solid roller, external
oil pump, etc. The question is, do I try to downgrade my current
engine, buy another engine to prepare, keep mine, sell mine, or put on
big boy pants and run the current engine in the "unlimited" class? I
can probably run for a year as is but after that, I'd need to do the
engine, fuel cell, roll cage, and 15" wheels too. Comments? Suggestions?

Also, I think I remember someone on the list recently started a business
that would be able to cut a header flanges from either mild or stainless
steel. I want to make a new header for my racer and need flanges for
the head and carbs. Who was it?

Kurt
