Chris,

Make sure that you don't have the ends swapped on the coil wire.  You may
find that the boots seal better with the ends reversed.  Also, a shorter
brass terminal may have come with the kit, but even if it didn't, bring it
over and I'll bet I have one that will fit properly.

Contact isn't the problem--the brass piece one the wire is so long that it
pushes inside it's female counterpart on the coil way sooner that the old
one did.  The boot is "L" shaped, so there's no way it would slide anywhere.
If the coil end of the boot were longer, then it seems to me, it would seal
better.
