I use a Rip Tiger Ultimate (_http://www.riptiger.com/editions.html_ 
(http://www.riptiger.com/editions.html) )  to save/convert videos. Most web videos 
are in Adobe Flash Format. Rip Tiger can  convert these to other formats 
(.wmv, .wma, etc) or you can play they locally if  you have the Version 12 
Windows Media Player.
 
I sure free/shareware capture programs can also be  had.
