At least 5 GT-40's? A collector ugh?
Didn't Tiger Woods have that problem ;-]>

Tim Cantwell in Cleveland, OH has a Gulf Oil replica Ford GT with a matching Saleen Mustang.  This great car guy owned at least 5 Ford GT's when I was in his shop a few years ago.

At all most a 1,000 pounds <?>  lighter then a Pantera that is a hellva bargain. Okay engineers how much power to you have to make to compensate for that additional weight in a pantera to keep up with aGT-40??

Kirby, do you know John Tiemann who has the blue Gulf Oil replica GT40?
Not sure  who the chassis builder is that did John's GT40 but John routinely runs Silver State and Big Bend open road races and track events....he "averaged" 160 mph in May at the NORC  and afterwards said the only danger he had was that it handles so well  and so much better then the Vette he had that he is reluctant to really let it stretch its legs....he already went off the road once at the SORC or BBORR I believe....I don't have that problem with the Pantera I know it and I are both at the limit. ;-]>

A roller from Superformance runs right at $80K these days.
Now you need an engine, a ZF and put it together.

I know a guy who got a MkII like mine for $70K and it was already put together.
It was one of those 'deals of a lifetime', but he found it.

The market is soft right now for all the reasons you know. If you are serious, just keep looking.
You might not find your color scheme or a MkI instead of a MkII though...
