Mike, I don't want this to be an endless exercise of you said this and I
said that but I never said I was in favor of shoddy workman ship, and
unsafe repairs. there are plenty of panteras that I have seen that I don't
personaly care for. I hated that Gold plated monstrosity. But I still defend
the right of the owner to make that choice. If will defend your right to
keep your vehicle "Stock looking" you are missing the whole point of my
post. You aparently don't realize it but the comments you make from time to
time to express your views about a particular choice someone has made often
include dispariging remarks that are insulting and hurtful to the person who
made the purchase or modification. This is not my opinion. This is what
people have written to me since I wrote the first post complaining about
your veiled insults. I made reccomendations to the newbie and in the
following post with out naming me you made reference to the exact things i
suggested and instaed of just saying you didn't agree with my opinions you
took cheap shots. I didn't say the list has some egotistical, know it
all, big mouths who think all panteras should remain stock looking ( which
would have certainly seemed like it was directed at you if I posted it right
after you gave Peter your advice. But that's in essence what you did to me.
You said the fuse box was perfectly fine(not a verbatim quote) but you went
on to say you had replaced yours along with your harness, you had modified
your fan circuitry and added relays, and you had added an extra fuse box ?
How does all that equate with the stock fuse box being fine or adequate?
Would you fly your aircraft with a Pantera style Fuse box? You might but the
air force would never let you! In spite of the fact that I don't agree with
your personal opinions on pantera taste I don't insult you because your
views differ with mine. All I am suggesting is that you do what Jack Webb
used to say on the old Dragnet show "The facts just the facts" Save the
insults for you private messages.
Thanks,
Boyd
