FWIW, Michaael, I've always run 8" Campys all around with 245-50s on the 
front and 275-55s on the rear. Our lightweight Pantera is balanced at any 
speed I've run it and looks fine. I wouldn't go bigger than 275-55 on 8" wheels, 
though, and 245s in front on 8" Campys require some hammer-contouring on 
the inner fender panels for sharp turns. For shows it obviously doesn't matter 
but the 8" fronts also cure the bad scrub-radius in turns that the 7"
