[DeTomaso] Another crash at Monterey

Wow!   

Wife and I were there on Saturday, just walking out to the southern set of 
bleachers to hang on the corner and I turned back to look up to the top of the 
corkscrew or whatever the downhill corner is that you can see from the paddock 
area where the cars come back into view...could just see it over the tops of the 
pit trailers etc.....and saw the trans-am Mustang spin  (track was cold and 
damp!) during the 10:30 qualifying event....everyone managed to drive around but 
all of a sudden a white Mustang came out of the corner with a low line and hit 
the car head on.....it was ugly to watch!!!   All I could think was where were 
the damned yellow flags and why were these guy still boiling around this corner 
so damned fast????????

Later in the day, the crash that messed up the Cheetah so badly... occurred just 
as we were walking to that area to plant the wife while I went off to run around 
the pits.....   this may have been the crash that claimed Stirling's car. That 
was a nasty one to see live........

As we were walking towards the bleachers again, to see the afternoon trans-am 
race, two of the open wheel cars tangled after one spun right in front of 
us......crap!!!

I was beginning to think that my wife was jinxed!!!!    "maybe I should get her 
out of here...." is what I was thinking..... :)

It was a disturbing day for coincidence!!!!
