It would be interesting to know what a trip like that would cost? In this economy I'm sure there are many of us that don't have or should not spend the funds for a trip like that! God bless you, some of us live vicariously though great stories like yours!

Lets all meet in Dallas Tx for the Texas State Fair end of September or
early October . East coast(nyc) is approximately 1547 miles and west coast
(LA) is approximately 1435 miles. The city has great food, great hotels ....
Very large state fair where we could probably make arrangements to show all
of our cars and have fun at the fair and whatever else.
My longest drive in my car has been from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to Sedona
,Az to Santa Fe ,NM to Dallas ,Tx to Houston, Tx to New Orleans,To Orlando
Fl ....Had woman fall asleep at the wheel while i was driving 70 mph and
she rear ended us at about 90 to 100 mph. Repaired the car in two hours and
drove to Miami Beach ,Fl. and arrived before 135 other cars in the
Gumball3000 Then drove back to Sanford, Fl and took the auto train to Lorton , Va.
.Drove direct to NYC and then finally to Long Island . Approximately 4000
plus miles. We averaged 90 to 100 mph across the USA and the car was
absolutely flawless.
Now the car is in restoration due to accident and I should have the car in
2 weeks.
Few problems on the drive ;
Hot as hell in the desert(130 degrees inside car ) Air conditioning was
repaired by the Space City Houston Pantera Club. First time we had air
conditioning .
Headliner blew out somewhere in Louisiana
Headlights came up but did not light....Fixed by Ralph Granchelli in Sedona
Az. You can see it on you tube under gumball3000 sedona

2511???????
Judy
My first drive in 2511 was 510 miles
Yes, it is too bad there isn't a large club in the Midwest to host the FR
event, as that would make it about the same distance for all coasts to
attend.
I just drove #3400 ( with a very poorly working A/C ) 400 miles to SORC,
ran three trips over the SORC 55 mile route, then the 55 mile event and
another 370 miles home. NO trailer, no jack, just as mentioned by someone
earlier, a credit card and a phone. Had she been able to pull herself out of my
shop at FR time, we would have been in Reno.

I seem to see a recurring theme:
It (fill in the blank) is too far from (fill in the blank).
Would your local Starbucks be close enough?
Slackeritis is alive and well in Pantera Land.
Tony Harvey must be rolling in his grave.
My first drive in 2511 was 510 miles - Medford to Fresno - in one day.
More than some of you guys have done in ten years.
DRIVE IT!!...........or sell it to someone who will use it for what it was
intended.
Rant over. Flame suit on.
