[DeTomaso] Dash 1 ZF Question- Internal shift detents??? Mangusta

For any of you with Dash 1 ZF knowledge....internal workings....

Do these early trans have shift rail detents on the 4-5 rail? (To assist with
holding the trans "in gear")

I can see in the ZF book where the DS-25/2 version (Dash 2) has detents on all
three rails and lockout detents as well.

For the DS-25 trans, no such detents are shown, except for the lockout detents
which prevent you from catching two gears at the same time....

During our first run in the car to Laguna Seca, we discovered that the car no
longer likes 4th gear, under load or coasting. It NEVER complained
prior.....but what I did do that is different, is change my linkage angles (so
that the linkage is more "flat") by lowering the trunion a bit, and actually
hitting it with some lube! I also lowered the engine in the front, which would
have the result of raising the rear of the trans a bit...making the linkage even
"more flat" in the process.

There should be a detent mechanism under the shifter, but I will need to tear
into the car some more to see if it has been removed, or is physically
challenged for some reason presently.

Thanks!
Steve
