He did not "design" the Stingray.  He did a sketch and scale model of the theme.  Larry Shinoda apparently designed Bill Mitchell;s race car that preceeded the production Stingray design.  He also did a lot of work on that, hundreds of very descriptive sketches.

 I heard that Pete did the Scarab.  The time does not seem right but he may have been free lancing it.
