Hmmm, interesting. I had problems with my pushrod guides fitting properly
when my engine was rebuilt in 2001. I think that they were Ford Racing parts
but am not certain. I'm using Australian closed chamber heads.

Since I'm not certain what brand guides I was using we can't build a
database with compatible guides/heads, but can repeat your message that it
can be a challenge and is something that ought to be carefully checked
before firing the engine. I can vouch for the fact that they can cause all
kinds of headaches if they are not compatible.

someone just wrote about how manley guide plates did not fit right, but the
comp cams did. I have CHI heads and roller rockers and found the comp cams
guideplates to be unuseable - dont fit at all. i think the manleys fit fine
for me, with 3/8" pushrods. just a word of warning. pushrod guideplates
are a challenging fit for cleveland engines. Dave storlein, a noteable
cleveland builder confirmed the same to me. justin
