[DeTomaso] I've got to get going on my restoration

  I ran my 2nd Pantera without the rear quarter windows.  I too noticed the flow of warn air out while the car was moving, but it is nowhere near 
the volume or velocity to cause a starvation condition.  I wish I could find the material/article from years ago that indicated (and I keep repeating)
that you will gain more from cooling the intake charge than pressurizing it with some scoop arrangement.  Getting air from just about anywhere other
than the area on top of the engine would be better.  Will you be able to feel the difference?  I doubt it but that doesn't keep me from doing things like 
that which I know are "just better".  
  I have a set of neat magnesium valve covers off a Boss302 TransAm car.  They have stand-offs with Dzus fasteners on the outside edge. I plan on
putting simple horizontal plates that will stick out and block some of the radiated heat and hot air flowing between the header tubes from making it up
near the intakes...that and eventually putting the throttle bodies in another pan or tray couldn't hurt.  It could look cool and that's all that really matters,
right? :)
