[DeTomaso] I've got to get going on my restoration

Guys, working out of state is killing my restoration plans and spare time.
I hoped to be farther along than I am, but am ready to make some parts
investments to get my car ready for prep and paint....with the proper
opinions from the board. My paint is from the 80s and the car was pummeled
by an oxygen tank while forgotten in a garage before I rescued it. I was
going to work mechanical and wait and tackle the body issues later, but am
reconsidering it because, frankly, I want to start showing the car and the
car is running pretty good right now. You all are good about dishing out the
guilt with your sweet rides.

#1488 is presently a stock-looking '71 Pre L. I want to add a front spoiler
and the only metal option I see is from PIM for $419. How is the
fit/function of this one or are there any other styles to consider? Are
there any metal spoilers from other cars that look good and add functional
benefits?

I like the look of the front hood vent but am not prepared to undergo the GT
40-ish recessed scoop. Are there any of the standard rectangular vents I
see on many cars? The vendors I called say they are not selling them
anymore.

I'm on the fence about side scoops. I'm considering buying some to get them
painted the same color as the rest of the car, then deciding to
install/replace them with the windows as my mood changes. For those who
installed them, are they installed in stock window mounts and do not leave
visible holes if the windows are replaced?

Once again, many thanks for the input.

Rob
