Could be a curse Dan....it may need an exorcism, black magic or you need to keep the R's down....ah never mind that last suggestion.

Third engine builder. Now the most highly regarded in San Diego (but so was the first one, Ed Hale, at that time - 3 engines in short order).

Dan,
If you had no bad luck you'd have no luck at all! ;-]?
Tell us this is not the 'same' builder you used for the other engines?

The good news is The Winged Warrior is back on the road (more on this later),
The bad news is a pushrod bent at 1,500 miles on the new(est) engine.
This caused the #7 intake lifter to pop out, creating a bad miss, high idle, low oil pressure and heavy oil smoke out of the left tailpipe, causing me to wonder if I'd lost yet another brand new motor.
The engine builder is telling me these stock pushrods can't hold up to the new double valvespings in the new set of beefed up ($2k) 2bbl domestic heads.
His solution is to upgrade to some heavier Crower pushrods.
If that's the case I wonder why the stock pushrods weren't recommended for replacement?
I'm getting tired of paying for the same work, over and over.
Dan
