[DeTomaso] Muffler Opinions

To all,

When I talked to Fred Matsmoto about his Mind Train exhausts (before he
retired) he told me that two sizes of resonators were available, 3/4 in.
(standard) and 1 in. It would seem that we just need to find the source of
those larger resonators.

Mike

For many owners, like you and I, who have already gutted their GTS and still

have the resonator restriction, the must be an easier solution.

I would think it possible to drill the resonators to an acceptable ID.

For example, if one fabricates an appropriate sized dowel to act as a guide
for a hole saw, that would get us a couple inches into the resonator. I am
not sure about the solution past that point. I guess one needs a really
deep hole saw unless you can figure out how to extract the cuttings.

Or, we do a group buy on an 1.5" or 1.75" drill bit and arbor to fit a
non-commercial drill and expand the resonator's diameter.

There must be a reasonable solution.

Who knows how to approach this problem?
