[DeTomaso] oil leak questions

There is no problem to use the oil you have just poured from the engine,
but make sure no debris falls into the container under the car. I can not
safely say whether your oilpan can be removed but that should go if the
cross member between the frame legs can be removed. If you have a good
functioning PCV system this will reduce the risk of leakage in that you
get a small negative pressure in the engine.
