[DeTomaso] Mallory tach adapter

No- not consistently. Some will work at idle. Some won't at all and a few 
will work sometimes.... The Veglia tach in Panteras and Mangustas (same 
ass'y) is a rather simple circuit and and cannot seem to cope with fast rise 
electronic ignitions of any brand by itself (or so I was told....). 
There are two tach adapters. The MSD needs p/n 8920. If you find a used one 
on E-Bay and it won't work when you get it, MSD will repair such things 
fairly cheaply (but not for free) if you send it in. Good luck- J DeRyke
