Yes. The motion switch maintains power for the duration I set by the dip
switches. The reporting in the GPS device is configured to report within a
timed interval which is within the timed interval for the motion device.
Once you have stopped there is no need to continue reporting.

Configuration is also adjusted within the device to adjust reporting based
on speed. If you are going 75 MPH on the interstate it helps to keep
updating. If you are doing 20mph in stop and go traffic, you have less
need to update as often. Controlling the update cuts down on unneeded band
width.
