The events leading up to the BJ auction of the Shadrach Mustang for the
Darrell Gwynn Foundation that were held on Tuesday and Wednesday nights
were a great prelude to the actual auction itself.
The "Wheels of Dreams" event held at the "Cars of Dreams Museum" private
car collection of John Staluppi, and the Barrett-Jackson Auction Gala
were exciting to say the least.
If you go to "The Shadrach Mustang" facebook page, you will find several
video and picture portfolios showing the activities for those two
nights. If you don't have a Facebook account, it will only take a few
minutes to create a free page. If you don't want to create a free
account, a quick link to the Shadrach Mustang Facebook web site is:

An estimated auction time for the Shadrach Mustang, Lot # 661
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails.aspx?aid=323&ln=661&pop=0&it=1
is now somewhere between the prime auction hours of 3-5pm this
Saturday. You can watch and "root on" the bidders live on the Speed
Channel.

Hubert Platt, one of the namesakes of the Platt & Payne duo and the
ultimate showman, can't make it. He broke his hip two weeks ago and
couldn't make the trip. However, if all goes as planned, Darrell or
Randy will hold up a sign that say's "Where's Hubert". When Hubert
attends any car show or event, he has folks go around and stick labels
on folks that says "Where's Hubert". Hubert will be watching the show
from his home in north Georgia and should get a big kick out of the play
on his "promotional" gimmick.
Here's hoping the car brings a healthy price that will go directly to
the Darrell Gwynn Foundation <http://darrellgwynnfoundation.org/>. By
the way, any takers on what it will bring?
Dick

My partner, Mike Langston, has donated the Platt and Payne Supercharged
Signature Edition Shadrach Mustang to the "Darrell Gwynn Foundation".
The car will be auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction
http://www.barrettjackson.com/ held this Saturday in Palm Beach,
Florida. This if one of the two charity sales of the three day BJ
auction that is held to raise money to benefit the many spinal injury
children that Darrell's foundation helps.
The auction of this Shadrach Mustang, lot #661, will be nationally
televised on the Speed Channel on Saturday, April 3. All of the
proceeds of this auction, kindly hosted and supported by the
Barrett-Jackson folks, goes to the foundation.
You can find additional information on the Shadrach Mustang at:

For additional information on the Darrell Gwynn Foundation, please refer

Mike and I will help promote the sale of the car at the "Wheels of
Dreams" gala tomorrow night. The event is hosted by one of Darrell
Gwynn's Foundation's supporters, John Staluppi, at John's "Cars of
Dreams Museum".
Go to http://www.carsofdreams.com/ to see a portfolio of the cars in
John's collection. The "collection" is fabulous, not only for the cars
in his collection, but in how he has them displayed.
If you have time, tune in this Saturday afternoon to the Speed Channel
and "root" on the bidders that hopefully will ante up big bucks to help
this worthwhile charity. To follow this particular auction, look for
Lot # 661. The cars should run in numerical sequence.
I'll be posting pictures and videos of the events on "The Shadrach
Mustang" Facebook page when I get back from the sale next week.
