Someone knowledgeable should write an article "The Pantera story , Then and
Now" and write about the cars introduction and how over the years a
dedicated group of Pantera owners have remedied the original flaws that
existed ( for the most Part) and have come up with substantial improvements
that have made the Pantera one of the few 37 year old exotics that are still
competitive (and in some cases out perform) modern production sports cars.
The car did have some design flaws but as we all know most of them have
either been remedied or at least remedies have been developed even though
some owners have chosen not to take advantage of the available
modifications. Who needs a report on a stock 38 year old car. If that's what
you want I would rather read the original articles that were published when
the car was new so you can see how it compared to cars of the same circa ,
not how it compares looking in a 38 year old rear view mirror. The story of
how far this car was ahead of it's time and how it has been able to be
adapted to remain competitive all these years later. It still turns heads
and still wins races against much newer and much more expensive cars.
