[DeTomaso] 427 SOHC in a Pantera?

There's a video on YouTube of a 427FE Pantera.

A 427 SOHC can definitely be stuffed in a Pantera. After all, pretty much anything is possible. The biggest issue would be at the firewall. Even once you move the engine as far back as you feel comfortable, you would probably still have to "ding" the firewall - a lot.

A better choice is a 429 Boss. It has similar visual effects. The 429/460/514 has already been done too, so most of the hard work is known. Best of all, the firewall issues would be the same as a 429/460.

And of course, there's the usual debate about 351C, 4.6, etc. I only mentioned the 429 Boss because it is similar to a 427 SOHC. Both are excessive powerplants (as is a 426 Hemi). The 4.6, 351W, 351C, etc. are great, but certainly not in the same class as 429 Boss, 427 SOHC, or 426 Hemi.
