There are short water pumps adapted from a Japanese engine (White Power?) 
and used in engine-swap street rods that might work, maybe along with a 
custom set of pulleys to re-establish alignment. But these pumps aren't intended 
for maximum cooling, only to fit a swapped-in engine, so I don't know what 
the effect would be on a Pantera's running temperature. Or, as I did, you can 
simply move the entire engine/ZF assembly back 3/4" on the stock engine 
mounts while bending the ZF mounts into a shallow S. 
The main effect of the commercial kits is, as someone said, for the 
passenger seat. The commercial kits simply have a much smaller and tighter-fitting 
bulkhead bulge around the stock waterpump while moving the alternator out of 
the way. This includes a custom steel door and new upholstery to match. If 
you spend much time in the passenger seat or have long-legged friends riding 
with you, the relocation is well worth the small amount of trouble. FWIW- J
