Maybe this will help.

At _http://www.poca.com/index.php/gallery/?g2_itemId=11207_
(http://www.poca.com/index.php/gallery/?g2_itemId=11207) you will find a picture of the
turn signal canceling cam and the turn signal switch in place in the car.
The nose of the canceling cam rests on the canceling tab which is part of the
turn switch. When a turn direction is selected the canceling tab is free
to extend when the wheel is turned. As long as you turn the wheel in the
selected direction the cam will not activate the canceling tab. When you turn
against the selected direction the cam will trip the canceling tab and the
turn signal will switch OFF.

At _http://www.poca.com/index.php/gallery/?g2_itemId=11209_
(http://www.poca.com/index.php/gallery/?g2_itemId=11209) is a picture of a canceling tab
in the extended position. The canceling tab trips which ever direction
latching lever inside the switch will turn the switch OFF.

It is quite unusual, but not unknown, for the latching tab to be break. I
seen only one broken canceling cam and it was repairable.

A picture of the repaired cam is at
_http://www.poca.com/index.php/gallery/?g2_itemId=11211_ (http://www.poca.com/index.php/gallery/?g2_itemId=11211) .

Have fun,
