Locktite is not a thread sealant. The flares, not the  threads, provide the 
sealing surfaces on all hydraulic  fittings.
 
The slave cylinder fitting is for an SAE double flare .... the same  as 
brake lines.
 
Your braided hose should end in an 90 degree elbow adapter fitting  which 
properly routes the hose and connects the AN hose termination fitting to  the 
SAE flare fitting.
